Sabbath's Appetizer: Being a Christian is a privilege, guide it jealously.

I'm not talking of church goers or people who think Christianity is just a form of religious identity.

I'm talking of someone who has had a personal encounter with Jesus and recognises him as his or her lord and saviour.

Can you remember the particular word or message that got you saved?

A friend once told me (using the story in Matthew 15: 22-28) an unsaved individual is like a dog that eats crumbs which fell from the table of saints that are dining with the king. That day I said enough of playing church. I don't want to be a dog, I want to be seated at the table, dining with the saints.

You have probably heard repentance messages and call to alter many time before you finally accepted the new life in Christ.

Know that it is not your doing, it is a divine arrangement. Your being a Christian is by grace. Many wish they have the life, wish someone would preach the good news to them.

Ephesians 1:5- "Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will"
Therefore, thank God everyday for your salvation, for the life of hope. Because it is in Christ that you live, move and have your being (Act 17:28)
