What do I do in my trying times?

In answer to the question above I cry, worry and wear a sad countenance... It's not like I don't know the importance of being positive during trying times, but then at that moment it seems like the situation won't pass.

But I came across a story that changed all for me and taught me to develop myself into to being a better person and that's the reason I'm writing this.

I know David wrote many of his wonderful psalms during his trying period. But Darlene Zschech made me sat down to reevaluate myself.

Recently I found out it was she who wrote the Song 'Shout to the lord'. Well since the song had been recorded by many top gospel artists I was surprised when I knew she was the brain behind it. But that wasn't all to it.

What humbled me was the fact she wrote the song when she was 22 years old during her trying period, in fact I read that she was embarrassed and couldn't face her pastor while she was playing the song for him to hear.

I had listened to the song quite a number of times, but after I knew the story behind it, I had to listen to it over and over, and I kept asking myself; "does this look like something I would write during a trying period?" The answer was a NO and yes I am a Christian. So I had to set the music to repeat, so I can digest the song. If only for one thing, to correct my head.

No wonder God put his blessing on the song, so much that it went viral and after 23 years that Darlene Zschech released the song it's still as fresh and relevant as ever.

I've always know that the things you say when you are in deep realm of happiness, anger, sorrow or depression are usually very deep, you might need to ask yourself later if you were the one that said it. Therefore it's of great importance to start feeding yourself with positive thoughts and words.

Shout to the lord lyrics below:
My Jesus, my Savior, Lord, there is none like You;
All of my days I want to praise, the wonders of Your mighty love.
My comfort, my shelter, Tower of refuge and strength;
Let every breath, all that I am never cease to worship You.
Shout to the Lord, all the earth, let us sing;
Power and majesty, praise to the King;
Mountains bow down and the seas will roar at the sound of Your name.
I sing for joy at the work of Your hands, Forever I'll love You, forever I'll stand, Nothing compares to the promise I have in You.
